Bea: Separated Due to COVID-19, Filipino Student Reunites With Beloved Mum Who’s a Teacher in Singapore

Travel restrictions due to COVID-19 have separated many loved ones, but we all love a good reunion story, don’t we?

“My mum has been working in Singapore as a teacher for almost 10 years. Singapore feels like a second home to me now because I’m here to visit her every summer vacation.

I’m very happy when I see her because I miss her so much when I’m in the Philippines. My mum is like my best friend and I can tell her everything and anything.

When COVID-19 happened, I couldn’t see her at all. The last time I visited her was in 2019. But just last March, she came back home to surprise me. I cried when I saw her because she means a lot to me and I missed her so much.”
