Celebrate Peranakan Culture at Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES

In conjunction with National Heritage Board’s Singapore HeritageFestCapitol Singapore and CHIJMES honour our nation’s rich and intangible cultural heritage with a series of engaging programmes that put the spotlight on Peranakan culture.

From 1 to 25 May, visitors can look forward to an exciting lineup of hands-on cultural arts workshops — such as nyonya beadwork embroidery, batik painting and tile motif painting — as well as life-sized, Instagram-worthy photo opportunities at Capitol Singapore that bring the Peranakan culture to life through vibrant visual storytelling.

What’s more, shoppers can also look forward to redeeming Peranakan dessert spoons or pot coasters when they spend at either mall, and indulge in thematic promotions and discounts from Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES for an even more immersive experience.

Join us in celebrating the traditions, stories, and flavours that have shaped Singapore’s intangible cultural heritage through the years.
