Chingay is a colourful street parade that’s held annually as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations. This cultural tradition is practised in Singapore and certain cities in Malaysia.

In 2025, Chingay returns with the new theme of JOY. The festival will also incorporate special elements to commemorate Singapore turning 60, a significant milestone in the nation’s progress and development.

SG60 celebration

Be mesmerised by the performance of 60 lion dancers who embody the spirit of Singapore and its shared values of multiculturalism, resilience and openness.

Foodie delight

Food, a shared love amongst Singaporeans, takes prominence at the festival. Be on the lookout for food-inspired floats, vibrant costumes, and PAssionArts installations that showcase Singapore’s shared culinary heritage.

An all-new immersive experience

The new layout brings you closer to the exciting performances and awe-inspiring inflatables. Needs to be seen live to be believed.

Grand spectacle

The main attraction that Chingay is well-known and loved for, expect larger than life performances by over 4,000 performers from 150 organisations.
