You’ve partied in Kuta, you’ve kicked back in Seminyak and Sanur, you’ve been blown away by Jimbaran and Uluwatu, and, of course, you’ve had a spiritual experience in Ubud.
There aren’t many places in the world that travellers know as well as Bali, and yet, the Island of the Gods is always waiting to reveal a new face.
Located in Bali’s northeastern corner, less than three hours away from the familiar districts, Amed is a village built on diving. It might not feature on many itineraries, but if you like the idea of a $30 room a few feet away from the beach and an armada of outrigger canoes called jukung, you’ve found paradise.
