“I started wake-boarding when I was 17. I tried it, got hooked, and started exploring different forms of board riding like surfing, skating and long-boarding.
I’m 31 this year, and when you hit your thirties, you’re supposed to have a different set of objectives and goals. While I’m not saying my goals are misaligned, I don’t think many people my age would be doing what I’m doing as a hobby. It could even be deemed as juvenile.
Nevertheless, this is my personal lifestyle choice. It’s a way of expression and a stress-relief outlet, and I believe you are only as old as you think you are.
Living in Singapore, it’s not easy to just put your responsibilities aside to do what you love. With that being said, it’s still very achievable if you make the effort to find a balance between work and your hobbies.” – Jasper, 31
