The BJJ coach at Enjoy The Process Jiu-Jitsu Academy imparts wisdom about truly being in the present moment.
Watch the video below:
Carlos Alcayaga is a risk-taker. Not content with the conventional life he once lived in Argentina, he decided to drop out of university and abandon his original goal of becoming an engineer.
Instead, he seized an opportunity to relocate to Singapore to further his training and learning of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), a sport that helped him cope emotionally after his father’s passing.
Today, Carlos is a BJJ coach at Enjoy The Process Jiu-Jitsu Academy. A black belt in the gentle art, his approach to teaching BJJ aptly reflects the name of his gym in Singapore.
This is attributed to the fact that while he’s a committed coach, he’s also a competitor who understands the importance of being in the present, focusing on what’s within his control, and always enjoying the process.
