As Singapore gears up for the 2025 General Election, Coffee Meets Bagel (CMB) decided to explore something just as personal as politics: dating. And our findings reveal something unexpected — your group representation constituency (GRC) might be influencing your love life more than you think.
Using anonymised user data, CMB took a deep dive into dating behaviours across different GRCs and SMCs to uncover how Singaporeans swipe, chat, and ghost based on where they live. The results are a playful yet revealing look at how neighbourhoods shape romantic habits — from first moves to flaking out.

Singapore’s Chat Styles: Ghosters, First Movers & Night Owls
- Most likely to make the first move?
Yio Chu Kang tops the list, with 41.48% of users kicking off chats.
- Most likely to ghost you?
Watch out for matches from Jalan Kayu, Queenstown, and Radin Mas.
- Late-night chat champs?
Jurong Central folks are up way past bedtime, sliding into DMs after hours.
Serious or Situationship?
- On commitment: Pioneer and Queenstown are filled with people seeking genuine, long-term love.
- Keeping it casual: Yio Chu Kang leads the pack for casual daters, though even then, only 7% are into short-term flings. (We’re still the leading app for serious daters, after all.)
Matchmaking hotspots
Seeking the highest odds of a match?
Head to Queenstown, Yio Chu Kang, or Radin Mas. When it comes to dating beyond your backyard, Yio Chu Kang daters are the most adventurous, with only 0.22% sticking to their own constituency.
On the flip side, Bishan-Toa Payoh residents tend to keep things close to home, showing the highest preference for dating within their neighbourhood.
