8 October – 15 November 2026: Haw Ror Villa 5! – Back from the Dead brings four Asian-inspired horror zones to Haw Par Villa, featuring an interactive puzzle hunt, a haunted maze and chilling encounters inside Hell’s Museum.

Singapore’s famously eerie Haw Par Villa is welcoming visitors back after dark for the fifth edition of Haw Ror Villa, its annual Halloween experience organised by Hell’s Museum.

Subtitled Back from the Dead, the 2026 event is a surprise comeback. Although the fourth edition was intended to be the last, organisers have revived the attraction following public demand.

Running across 22 selected nights, the event combines Asian folklore, live performances, interactive challenges and immersive scares. Tickets cost S$55 for adults and S$40 for children aged seven to 12, with SG Culture Pass credits accepted through the eligible booking channel.

Explore Four Halloween Horror Zones

This year’s experience follows a connected storyline centred on temptation, sin and judgement. Visitors enter the park after receiving a mysterious invitation promising riches, fame and other rewards.

What begins as an enticing proposition becomes a journey through four horror zones, each offering a different form of storytelling and interaction.

Zone 1: Guide to Sin City – Vices, Punishments and Rewards

The experience begins with a performance tour that introduces the story behind the mysterious invitation.

Following the events of Haw Ror Villa 4!, a cult is said to have opened a portal to Hell, unleashing supernatural horrors upon the park. Now, visitors are lured back with promises of wealth, pleasure and recognition.

The tour sets the stage for the evening’s central question: what price would someone pay to satisfy their desires?

Estimated duration: 30 minutes.

Zone 2: Gateway to Hell

Inside Hell’s Museum, visitors become participants in an interactive puzzle hunt.

The museum has been transformed into an arena where trapped souls must compete for the chance to escape. Participants are challenged to navigate the experience and solve puzzles before their fate is sealed.

By placing the activity within a museum dedicated to death and the afterlife, this zone connects the Halloween storyline to Haw Par Villa’s distinctive cultural setting.

Estimated duration: 60 minutes.

Zone 3: The Haunted Labyrinth

Visitors enter a dark maze where unfamiliar footsteps, disturbing laughter and other unsettling sounds create the sensation of being followed.

Unlike the puzzle-focused second zone, The Haunted Labyrinth places greater emphasis on atmosphere, uncertainty and the fear of what might be waiting around the next corner.

Estimated duration: 30 minutes.

Zone 4: The Point of No Return

The final zone takes visitors deeper into the park for a concluding encounter centred on desire, hatred and delusion.

Presented as the Realm of Scorched Souls, the experience challenges participants to confront the consequences of their choices before attempting to find a way out.

Estimated duration: 15 minutes.

Experience Halloween Through Asian Folklore

One of Haw Ror Villa‘s distinguishing features is its use of Asian supernatural traditions rather than relying entirely on familiar Western Halloween imagery.

Visitors may encounter frightening figures inspired by regional folklore, including the pontianak and pocong, alongside other supernatural characters.

The setting adds another layer to the experience. Haw Par Villa is known for its elaborate sculptures and dioramas depicting morality, folklore and the afterlife, particularly its famous Ten Courts of Hell.

By incorporating these themes into a Halloween attraction, the event offers an experience rooted in the park’s own heritage rather than simply recreating a conventional haunted house.

Ticket Prices and SG Culture Pass Eligibility

Tickets for Haw Ror Villa 5! are priced at S$55 for adults and S$40 for children aged seven to 12.

The event is also eligible for the SG Culture Pass, allowing eligible Singaporeans to use their available credits towards admission through the designated booking platform.

Visitors can find the appropriate booking links on the official Haw Ror Villa website, which provides separate options for purchases with and without SG Culture Pass credits.

Although a limited number of tickets may be available on-site, the organiser recommends booking online in advance. Admission is subject to the availability of the selected date and time slot.

Plan Around the Selected Event Nights

Although the event runs from 8 October to 15 November 2026, it does not operate every night.

There are 22 scheduled event nights across the period, with activities running from 6.30pm to midnight.

Visitors should consult the official event calendar before making plans, particularly if they intend to attend on Halloween itself or during a weekend.

The organiser estimates that completing all four zones takes approximately two to two-and-a-half hours, excluding waiting time. Visitors are advised to arrive around 30 minutes before their booked slot to redeem their tickets and join the queue.

As queues may affect how many zones visitors can complete, arriving early is particularly important for anyone hoping to experience the entire programme.

What to Know Before Visiting

Haw Ror Villa 5! is a rain-or-shine event, with portions of the experience taking place outdoors. Visitors should bring an umbrella or poncho and apply insect repellent before entering.

Costumes are permitted, provided they are appropriate for an event that also admits children. Full-face masks are not allowed.

Visitors must not bring their own light sources, including torches or lighters, into the experience. Outside food and drinks are also prohibited, although light refreshments may be available for purchase.

For safety, guests should avoid touching performers or scare actors and follow instructions from event staff.

Important: Haw Par Villa is undergoing maintenance and is partially closed to the public. However, the scheduled Haw Ror Villa 5! Halloween experience is proceeding. Visitors should follow the event’s designated access arrangements rather than assuming the entire park is open for general sightseeing.

Our Take

Haw Ror Villa 5! – Back from the Dead offers something different from the typical Halloween haunted attraction in Singapore.

Its combination of live performances, puzzle-solving and maze exploration provides more variety than a single walk-through scare experience. More importantly, the event draws upon Haw Par Villa’s existing associations with folklore, morality and the afterlife.

The result is a Halloween programme with a distinctly local cultural setting, making it particularly appealing to visitors who enjoy Asian horror stories and immersive experiences.

At S$55 for adult admission, it is worth considering whether the four-zone experience suits your budget and tolerance for scares. Those planning to attend should reserve an early slot and allow additional time for queues.
