More than 200 performers fill Singapore General Hospital with live music on 2 October 2026, before a free evening concert hosted by Hossan Leong.

MusicFest@SGH 2026 returns to Singapore General Hospital on Friday, 2 October for a full day of free live music across the hospital campus.

Beginning at 10am, more than 200 performers will deliver over 40 hours of performances across nine locations, bringing choirs, instrumental ensembles, musical theatre performers, solo vocalists and community groups into public spaces and hospital wards.

The festival culminates with The Songs That Make Us Smile, a free evening concert hosted by Hossan Leong and featuring Vanessa Kee, Angelo Martinez and Atiqah Roslee.

Highlights of MusicFest@SGH 2026

Catch more than 200 performers: Music unfolds across nine locations around the SGH campus from 10am to 5pm, adding up to more than 40 hours of performances within a single day.

Hear music throughout the hospital: The programme includes choirs, instrumental ensembles, musical theatre performers, solo vocalists and community groups performing in public spaces and hospital wards.

Discover local performers and ensembles: Daytime highlights include Cat Ong, Hillary Francis, Rae Lou, Flutey Affair, LASALLE College of the Arts Musical Theatre students, The Song Birds and Zheng Professionals Guzheng Ensemble.

Take part in an Open Mic session: Patients, healthcare workers, visitors and members of the public can step up to the microphone and share a song during the festival’s returning Open Mic sessions.

The Songs That Make Us Smile Finale Concert

After the daytime programme ends, MusicFest@SGH moves to SGH Deck on 9 at Block 6, Level 9 for its finale concert from 7pm to 8pm.

Hossan Leong hosts the evening alongside performances by musical theatre artists Vanessa Kee, Angelo Martinez and Atiqah Roslee, with musical direction by Elaine Chan.

Inspired by the International Day of the Smile, The Songs That Make Us Smile celebrates music connected to memories, milestones and moments of comfort. The programme spans timeless English songs alongside Mandarin, Malay and Filipino favourites, reflecting Singapore’s multicultural community.

Our Take

MusicFest@SGH stands apart from Singapore’s usual music festivals because the hospital itself is part of the experience. Instead of asking audiences to gather around a single stage, performers bring music directly into spaces occupied by patients, caregivers, healthcare workers and visitors.

That community focus is particularly meaningful for an event that has been running since 2013. MusicFest@SGH was created to bring live performances into a hospital setting, with music used to uplift spirits and add moments of connection to the healthcare environment.

Members of the public are welcome too, and admission is free. Visit during the daytime if you want to encounter performances around the SGH campus, or head to Deck on 9 for the concentrated one-hour finale in the evening.
