Description
Singapore Science Park is becoming an evolving playground for design, movement and community through REINVENTION: ALLPLAY, a four-month festival running from 11 August to 22 November 2026.
Curated by CapitaLand Development in partnership with OuterEdit and supported by DesignSingapore Council, the festival explores play as more than entertainment. Interactive installations, workshops and community-led experiences invite visitors to experiment, create, move and connect in new ways.
Unlike a conventional festival with a fixed programme, new activations will continue appearing across the precinct throughout its run, giving visitors different reasons to return.
PlayLab
PlayLab brings self-guided exhibits and interactive experiences to The Canopy at Geneo from 11 to 23 August.
The installations are organised around five themes—Think, Make, Move, Experience and Connect—and encourage visitors to explore ideas through games, physical activity and hands-on experimentation.
Visitors can discover playful projects by local designers and creative groups, create elaborate chain reactions with Rube Goldberg-style installations, climb the Trellix Tower and enjoy traditional and contemporary board games donated by the Asian Civilisations Museum.
On 22 and 23 August, the PlayLab programme will expand with Hands at Play activities and Design Meets Play, a Design Market curated by OfWonderWander featuring local designers, makers and creative brands.
Some workshops and special activities require separate tickets or registration.
PlayMission: Ranger Buddies – The Planet Cup
From 29 August to 13 September, families and younger visitors can take on Ranger Buddies: The Planet Cup by Mandai X at The Canopy.
The sustainability-themed experience combines physical activities with digital and augmented-reality mission challenges. Participants will discover how simple everyday actions can collectively create a positive environmental impact.
PlayCourt and Community Mural
The outdoor area at 7 Science Park Drive will gradually transform into an evolving PlayCourt through 22 November.
Visitors can try playful adaptations of familiar sports such as basketball, football and pickleball while exploring how small design changes can reshape movement and recreation.
The space will also feature Singapore Science Park’s first co-created community mural. Developed with AnyhowPlayPlay using paint supplied by GUSH, the artwork will grow through contributions from visitors and become a visual record of how the community thinks about play.
Further PlayCourt installations and activities will be introduced progressively during the festival.
