1 October–1 November 2026: Join the Ranger Buddies at Mandai’s Curiosity Cove for The Mischief Within, featuring Halloween carnival games, crafts, trick-or-treating and an after-dark mystery adventure on selected evenings.
The Mischief Within 2026 brings a family-friendly Halloween celebration to Curiosity Cove at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, inviting young visitors to solve a mysterious disturbance with the Ranger Buddies.
Something strange is happening around Curiosity Cove. Familiar places have changed, clues have appeared and the animals need help. Ranger Buddies Al and Min are counting on young adventurers to uncover the mystery through interactive challenges and activities.
The event offers two experiences: Boo-tiful Day, a gentler daytime Halloween programme held daily, and Sundown, an immersive mystery adventure available on selected evenings.

Boo-tiful Day: Halloween Fun for Younger Children
1 October–1 November 2026, daily from 10am to 5.30pm: Boo-tiful Day offers a playful Halloween experience designed for younger adventurers, with carnival challenges, creative activities and sweet treats.
At the Boo-tiful Carnival, children can test their aim by knocking down a wall of pumpkins before working together to stop mischievous pumpkins from breaking through.
The Crafty Cauldron lets visitors create their own Halloween keepsakes, with a choice of Neon Glow Painting or a Glow Night Lamp. Crafts cost S$6 each, or S$15 for a bundle of three.
Families can also purchase a S$6 candy bag filled with sweets and chocolates, then meet roaming Rangers around Curiosity Cove to collect additional treats.
Boo-tiful Day activities are included with valid Curiosity Cove admission, although the crafts and candy bags are separately charged.
Sundown: Solve The Mischief After Dark
Selected evenings from 2 October–1 November 2026, 6.30pm–9.30pm: Sundown transforms Curiosity Cove into an immersive mystery adventure where families follow clues, tackle challenges and work together to save the animals.
The experience includes all Boo-tiful Day activities, plus three additional after-dark highlights.
The Mischief Within Trail
Visitors follow a mystery trail through Curiosity Cove, where mischievous forces have sent the animals into hiding. Families must complete challenges, uncover hidden clues and crack a final code to bring the adventure to a close.
The Mischief Within Live
A colourful live bubble performance brings the Halloween story to life with shimmering bubbles and playful surprises for young visitors.
Victory Parade
After the mystery is solved, families can join the Ranger Buddies for a celebratory parade marking the rescue of Curiosity Cove’s animals.
Visitors are also encouraged to dress up for the Best Dressed Awards, with prizes available for selected Halloween costumes.
Collect Stamps with The Mischief Within Mission Card
Young visitors can pick up The Mischief Within Mission Card and collect stamps as they complete activities with the Ranger Buddies.
There are seven stamps to collect across the Halloween experience. Families attending Sundown can continue their mission after dark, with a special Halloween reward available upon completing the required challenges, subject to the organiser’s terms.
The Mischief Within Ticket Prices and Promotions
Boo-tiful Day is included with valid Curiosity Cove admission. Optional Halloween crafts and candy bags cost extra.
Sundown is separately ticketed. Public ticket prices vary by session and booking category, so visitors should check Mandai’s official booking page for the applicable rate before purchasing.
Eligible Friends of Mandai members can enjoy up to 50% off Sundown tickets when purchasing through the Membership Portal under Buy Add-Ons. Eligible child participants also receive an exclusive Friends of Mandai gift, subject to terms and availability.
Friends of Mandai members visiting Boo-tiful Day may also qualify for a gift by presenting their e-Card after purchasing a ticket or booking a visit, subject to the organiser’s conditions.
Our Take
The Mischief Within offers a gentler alternative to Singapore’s haunted houses and scare attractions. Rather than relying on jump scares, it turns Halloween into a playful mystery that children can solve alongside familiar Ranger Buddies characters.
The distinction between Boo-tiful Day and Sundown is particularly useful for parents. Families looking for a relaxed outing can enjoy the daytime programme, while those seeking a more elaborate adventure can choose an evening session with the mystery trail, live performance and parade.
EP Tip: If your child enjoys collecting rewards and completing challenges, pick up the Mission Card early and keep it throughout your visit. For Sundown, book ahead and check the selected dates carefully, as evening sessions are not held daily.
