Explore care, wellbeing and safer creative practices at CITRUS fest 2026: Kacang Puteh, Care-Oke?, taking place at 42 Waterloo Street from 21 to 30 August.
The biennial festival presents 20 programmes by more than 50 arts practitioners and workers, ranging from communal meals and karaoke to workshops, conversations, games and experimental gatherings.
Instead of sorting its programme by conventional artistic disciplines, CITRUS fest groups its activities into four playful “flavours”: Sweet&Spicy Get-Togethers, Savoury Conversations, Crunchy Workshops and Mystery Huddle Puddle sessions.
Curated by ground-up arts collective CITRUS practices, the festival is commissioned by the Arts Resource Hub with support from the National Arts Council and held in conjunction with Singapore Night Festival 2026.
CITRUS fest 2026 Highlights
Tonight, we are a village: Visit a coffee-shop installation that reimagines the S-11 coffee shop formerly located outside the Old National Library—with kacang puteh included. The installation remains open during festival hours from 21 to 30 August.
Care-oke Karaoke: Grab a friend and sing your heart out during karaoke sessions on the festival’s opening and closing evenings.
Games Night! Don’t Play Play~: Join an immersive tabletop gaming session designed for both experienced players and complete beginners.
PONDOK: i want water, but the jar can’t hold: Gather for an opening communal dinner by Anthropos and The Artists Village.
Beyond Right and Wrong: Learn about speaking kindly, listening deeply and approaching disagreement through an introductory workshop on nonviolent communication.
Take Care, Or Else… Town Hall for New Beginnings: Participate in an informal town hall created by artists for artists to discuss care and possible new beginnings.
Listening to Voices of Care: Hear arts practitioners discuss the state of care in the arts and consider what could come next.
Stone Soup Party: Bring the festival to a close with a communal dinner by Post-Museum, Robert Guth and The Artists Village.
Visitors can also browse programme materials or take a break inside the Rest & Digest Corner, which remains available throughout the festival.
All programmes are free, although selected workshops and gatherings require registration because of limited capacity, food preparation or participation requirements. Walk-ins are accepted for other activities.
