Start the holidays by uncovering the myths, legends and lesser-known histories behind Singapore’s islands and familiar places.
Held at the National Library Building and National Archives of Singapore, All Things Singapore 2026 combines interactive installations, sensory performances, puzzles, archival collections and hands-on activities.
Families can solve clues inspired by the legend of the garfish, explore the stories surrounding Singapore’s offshore islands and experience the tale of Sisters’ Islands through shadow play.
Most activities are free, although selected programmes and screenings require registration or paid tickets. As the festival concludes on 5 September, families will only have the first day of the school holidays to catch it.

2. Reimagine folklore at SMU Arts Fest 2026: LEGENDARY
SMU Arts Fest 2026: LEGENDARY gives familiar myths and folklore a contemporary artistic makeover through exhibitions, music, performance and shadow puppetry.
The public programme features works created by hundreds of SMU students, alumni and collaborators across multiple locations within the university’s city campus.
Festival highlights include the folklore-inspired exhibition INTO THE LORE, multidisciplinary performance ONCE UPON AN ISLAND, percussion showcase BEATIFIC and interactive installation ICONS.

3. Sing and dance at PEPPA PIG Fun Day Out!
Peppa Pig, George and their friends are coming to the Esplanade Theatre for a weekend filled with songs, dancing and cheerful theatrical fun.
Designed for young fans, PEPPA PIG Fun Day Out! invites children to interact with their favourite characters beyond the television screen. Its accessible format also makes it a possible introduction to live theatre for younger audience members.
There are three performances on both days, allowing families to choose between a morning, afternoon or early-evening show. Every patron—including infants and children—must hold a valid ticket.

4. Listen to Little Red Riding Hood with the SSO
Roald Dahl’s mischievous interpretation of Little Red Riding Hood comes alive through orchestral music and theatre at Victoria Concert Hall.
Presented by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Dandi Productions, this edition of SSO Concerts for Children introduces young audiences to live classical performance through a familiar story.
Each one-hour performance takes place in a relaxed environment where audience members may enter and leave the hall when necessary. The concert is recommended for children aged five and above. Every attendee requires a ticket, and infants in arms will not be admitted.

6. Complete Ranger Buddies missions at REINVENTION: ALLPLAY
Singapore Science Park becomes an evolving playground for design, movement and community during REINVENTION: ALLPLAY.
The holiday-specific highlight is Ranger Buddies: The Planet Cup by Mandai X, which runs until 13 September at The Canopy. Children can take on physical, digital and augmented-reality missions while learning how everyday actions can contribute to a more sustainable future.
Families can also explore the wider festival, including the evolving PlayCourt and Singapore Science Park’s first co-created community mural.

7. Journey to ancient Egypt at Lilytopia 2026
The Flower Dome travels back to ancient Egypt through a dramatic floral display inspired by the landscape, architecture and mythology of the civilisation.
At Lilytopia 2026, lilies, water lilies and lilies of the Nile bloom alongside hieroglyphic artwork, sculptures and a recreation of the Dendera Temple.
The sheltered conservatory also provides families with a weather-proof outing that can be enjoyed regardless of the afternoon heat or rain. Admission to Lilytopia is included with the applicable Flower Dome ticket.

8. Go on a Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure
Pokémon fans can soar between Mount Faber Peak and Sentosa aboard cabins decorated with starter Pokémon from all nine regions.
The Pokémon Day-to-Night Adventure features nine themed designs across 18 Singapore Cable Car cabins. Each one is decorated around a different starter trio, with designs extending across the seats and floors.
After dark, passengers can use a UV torch to uncover the evolved forms of the starter Pokémon hidden within the cabins. Guests will also receive a Poké Ball-themed silhouette card featuring characters such as Pikachu, Jigglypuff and Dragonite.
The experience operates well beyond the September holidays, giving families flexibility when planning their visit.

10. Race at Levelled-Up Racing at HyperDrive
Older children and teenagers can test their racing skills on HyperDrive’s 308-metre, three-level indoor go-kart circuit during Levelled-Up Racing.
The qualifying competition is divided into junior and senior categories. Junior racers must be aged nine to 12 and at least 130cm tall, while senior participants must be aged 13 or above and at least 140cm tall.
Participants can complete their qualifying laps during the September holidays instead of attending on a single fixed day. The 20 fastest racers from each category will advance to the final on 4 October.
The competition takes place indoors, providing another useful option for rainy holiday afternoons.

Young aviation enthusiasts can begin the school holidays among aircraft, simulators and interactive exhibits at the Singapore Air Force Museum.
Air Force Day 2026 introduces families to the heritage and work of the Republic of Singapore Air Force through hands-on activities, aviation showcases and stories about defending Singapore’s skies.
Children can test their coordination on flight simulators, complete interactive challenges and explore the museum’s refreshed galleries. A separately bookable drone workshop is also available for children aged seven and above.

13. Celebrate Kai Kai and Jia Jia’s birthdays at Panda Planet
Giant pandas take centre stage at River Wonders during the September school holidays as Kai Kai and Jia Jia celebrate their birthdays alongside Singapore’s first Panda Planet Immersive Experience.
Making its first stop outside China, the exhibition introduces families to the evolution, behaviour and conservation of giant pandas through three themed zones. Visitors can complete science-trivia challenges, explore an interactive mixed-reality bamboo forest and take photographs at panda-themed installations.
Families can also celebrate Jia Jia’s 18th birthday on 5 September and Kai Kai’s 19th birthday on 13 September. At both sessions, the pandas will receive treat-filled enrichment boxes specially prepared by their care team.
The exhibition and birthday activities are included with River Wonders admission.

16. Enter Sanrio Characters Moonlit Garden at VivoCity
Meet Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, My Melody, Hangyodon and Pompompurin inside a colourful Mid-Autumn garden at VivoCity.
Sanrio Characters Moonlit Garden transforms the Level 3 Sky Park into six themed worlds featuring illuminated installations, oversized characters and family photo opportunities.
The garden is accessible throughout the day, but families should consider visiting from 6pm when the installations light up. Selected carnival activities and shopping redemptions may involve separate charges or minimum-spending requirements.
As the experience continues beyond the school holidays, families have several additional weeks in which to visit if the holiday period becomes too busy.
