Description

Aspiring community builders can learn how to turn an idea into an active network at Claude for Communities, a practical session taking place at WeWork in Suntec Tower 5 on 24 August 2026.

Organised by Claude SG Community, the 90-minute programme explores the decisions and behind-the-scenes work involved in building a community from scratch. It is designed for people establishing or managing communities, professional networks and local chapters, with no technical background required.

The organisers will draw upon their experience growing Claude SG to 6,000 members within three months, as well as lessons from building Web3 Singapore. Participants will hear what worked across both communities, what had to change and how different subject areas require different approaches.

Grow your first 100 and 1,000 members

The session will examine how new communities can attract their first 100 members before progressing towards the 1,000-member milestone.

Participants will learn how to develop a clear vision, structure a team and define responsibilities—even before enough volunteers have joined to fill every role. The programme will also consider what communities should organise each month and why a meaningful purpose matters more than membership numbers alone.

Choose the right community tools

Claude for Communities will introduce practical tools that organisers can use to manage events, communication and audience engagement.

Topics include building a community website and using platforms such as Luma, Telegram and LinkedIn, alongside dashboards for monitoring growth and participation. The session will also consider where artificial intelligence can genuinely support community operations—and where a human approach remains more valuable.

Meet other community builders

Attendance is limited to 120 participants to create a more intimate setting and allow time for networking after the programme.

The event is suited to founders, volunteers, association members, programme managers and anyone developing a community, chapter or professional network. Registration is free but subject to approval by the organisers.
