What Is PokéXciting!?
PokéXciting! is a year-end celebration at Changi Airport and Jewel commemorating 30 years of Pokémon, the Japanese entertainment franchise that began with the release of its first video games in 1996.
Over the decades, Pokémon has grown into a global phenomenon spanning video games, animation, trading cards, films and merchandise, introducing generations of fans to characters such as Pikachu, Charizard and Eevee.
The Singapore celebration brings this world into a real-life airport setting, combining entertainment, festive decorations and interactive experiences for visitors of different ages.
Rather than concentrating activities in a single location, PokéXciting! spreads its attractions across Changi Airport’s terminals and Jewel, giving visitors several areas to explore.
Pokémon Parade at Jewel Changi Airport
The opening-weekend Pokémon Parade is one of the main attractions of PokéXciting! 2026.
Taking place at Jewel Forest Valley on Saturday, 7 November and Sunday, 8 November, the parade brings together all 27 first partner Pokémon representing nine generations of the franchise.
These include the familiar first partner Pokémon from the original Kanto region, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, alongside characters introduced in subsequent generations.
Two Pikachu will also join the parade, creating a rare opportunity for fans to see so many Pokémon characters together in one performance.
Parades are scheduled at 3pm and 6pm on both days, with each session lasting approximately 30 minutes.
Important: Although admission is free, wristbands are required to enter the designated parade viewing area. Wristbands are distributed onsite two hours before each performance, while stocks last.
EP Tip: If the Pokémon Parade is your main reason for visiting, plan around the wristband collection time rather than arriving just before the performance. Availability is limited, and popular sessions may attract substantial crowds.
PokéXciting! Stage and Festive Shows
At Terminal 3 Departure Hall, the PokéXciting! Stage serves as a centrepiece of Changi Airport’s year-end celebrations.
Decorated with colourful musical motifs, illuminated arches and Pokémon characters, the stage provides a festive backdrop for photographs and selected live performances.
Visitors can catch special Pikachu performances during the opening weekend, while the celebrations continue with a Pokémon-themed light and snow spectacle from 9 November 2026 to 3 January 2027.
The light and snow shows are scheduled at 7.30pm and 8.30pm daily, with an additional 9.30pm session on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The extended programme makes PokéXciting! suitable for visitors who cannot attend the opening-weekend parade but still want to enjoy the festive atmosphere later in November or December.
Pokémon Activities and Interactive Experiences
Beyond the stage performances and character appearances, PokéXciting! offers additional activities for fans who want to explore the world of Pokémon.
The Pokémon Experience Lounge at Terminal 3 features gaming demonstrations and interactive activities, including opportunities to discover Pokémon video games and the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Visitors can also participate in the Pokémon GO Stamp Rally from 7 November to 8 December, collecting digital stamps at designated PokéStops across Changi Airport and Jewel.
At Jewel Forest Valley, Pokémon-themed installations create additional photo opportunities featuring familiar characters from the franchise.
Some experiences may require advance registration, wristbands or qualifying purchases. Visitors should check the official event pages before travelling.
Our Take
Pokémon has an unusual ability to bring different generations together. Parents who grew up with the original games and animated series can now share familiar characters with children discovering the franchise for the first time.
That cross-generational appeal makes PokéXciting! an interesting addition to Singapore’s year-end calendar, particularly for families looking for activities that combine entertainment with opportunities to explore Changi Airport and Jewel.
The opening-weekend parade is arguably the biggest attraction, especially for longtime Pokémon fans who recognise the first partner Pokémon from different generations.
However, the longer-running stage installations, light and snow shows, and interactive experiences also give visitors reasons to return throughout the festive season.
With much of the programme accessible without a standard admission ticket, PokéXciting! is worth considering for a family outing, a gathering with friends or simply an opportunity to revisit a childhood favourite.
