Get ready to think pink as Legally Blonde – The Musical brings its infectious songs, sharp comedy and empowering story to Esplanade Theatre for a strictly limited Singapore season ending on 16 August 2026.
Presented by Singapore Repertory Theatre, this new production stars Singaporean West End performer Nathania Ong as Elle Woods. Known for playing Éponine in Les Misérables and Eliza Schuyler in Hamilton, Ong brings her vocals, charisma and stage presence home for one of musical theatre’s most recognisable roles.
Based on Amanda Brown’s novel and the popular Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film, the musical follows Elle as she enrols at Harvard Law School in pursuit of the man who broke her heart. What begins as a romantic mission becomes a journey of friendship, self-belief and discovering that she is far more capable than others assume.
Cast and direction
The Singapore cast features Nathan Hartono as Warner, Benjamin Chow as Emmett, Siti Khalijah Zainal as Paulette and Dwayne Lau as Professor Callahan. Pierre Png, Vanessa Kee, Sandra Riley Tang and a large ensemble of local performers complete the cast.
Audiences can expect energetic choreography, colourful staging, big ensemble numbers and fan-favourite songs by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin. The production is directed by Kate Golledge, with choreography by Simon Hardwick and musical direction by Dan Glover.
Legally Blonde – The Musical is eligible for SG Culture Pass credits. Limited S$40 youth tickets are also available for Tuesday to Thursday performances for patrons aged 25 and below, subject to availability and proof of eligibility.
