Get close to military aircraft, test your skills on flight simulators and discover what it takes to defend Singapore’s skies during Air Force Day 2026.

Air Force Day 2026 takes flight at the Singapore Air Force Museum on 5 and 6 September, filling the opening weekend of the school holidays with aircraft displays, interactive challenges and family activities.

The free event invites visitors to explore the world of the Republic of Singapore Air Force through hands-on experiences, flight simulators and stories connected to the aircraft that have protected Singapore’s skies.

Families can also visit a food bazaar and explore the museum’s refreshed galleries during their visit. Admission is free, but visitors must book tickets in advance and complete a separate online guest-registration form before arriving.

Highlights of Air Force Day 2026

Get close to military aircraft: Discover aircraft connected to different chapters of Singapore’s aviation and defence history while learning about their roles in protecting the country’s airspace.

Try the aircraft simulators: Visitors can test their coordination and experience some of the challenges associated with taking control of an aircraft through the museum’s interactive simulators.

Complete hands-on activities: Family-friendly missions, challenges and interactive experiences encourage children to explore aviation through active participation rather than simply viewing exhibits.

Explore the refreshed museum: The galleries of the Singapore Air Force Museum bring the heritage and technological development of the Republic of Singapore Air Force to life through multimedia storytelling and multisensory installations.

Join a drone workshop: A separately bookable 50-minute workshop introduces children to responsible drone flying through a combination of basic theory and guided practical experience. Each workshop ticket admits one child aged seven or above with one accompanying adult.

Visit the food bazaar: Take a break between museum activities and browse the event’s food offerings before returning to the aircraft displays and interactive experiences.

Our Take

Air Force Day 2026 is one of the strongest free activities taking place during the September school holidays. Aircraft and flight simulators provide immediate excitement for younger visitors, while the museum’s galleries add enough historical and technological context to make the experience educational.

The event is particularly suitable for families with children interested in aircraft, engineering, military history or how Singapore protects its airspace. Its combination of museum exhibits, practical challenges and food also makes it substantial enough for a dedicated family outing.

Advance planning is essential. Booking an admission ticket is only the first step: visitors must subsequently complete the online guest-registration form sent through their confirmation email and present the completion email when entering the museum.
