From 12 to 27 September 2026, follow Fenbao through glowing gardens, enormous lantern displays and family activities at Gardens by the Bay’s free Mid-Autumn Festival.
Lanterns will illuminate Gardens by the Bay as its annual Mid-Autumn Festival returns with a fantastical new adventure starring Fenbao and her friends.
Visitors can wander through imaginative installations spread across Golden Garden, Dragonfly Lake, Supertree Grove and other areas of the Gardens. The festivities also include performances, creative activities, carnival games and a bustling food marketplace.

Follow Fenbao into a glowing fantasy world
This year’s lantern trail follows Fenbao and her companions into a magical world where light, nature and fantasy intertwine. Each installation forms part of their dreamlike journey through the Gardens.
At Golden Garden, Moonlit Garden surrounds visitors with luminous flowers, while The Path of Wonder unfolds through radiant blossoms and flowing lantern lights.
Over at Dragonfly Lake, The Voyage carries Fenbao and her friends across shimmering waters aboard a celestial whale. Visitors can then continue to Supertree Grove, where floating fish, glowing flowers and fantastical scenes appear in Waterfall Fantasy, The Garden Celebration and Colourful Blossoms.
Another notable installation is the Colonnade of Lights, which brings together 1,000 colourful lanterns designed and hand-painted by people from different walks of life.

Performances, crafts and carnival attractions
The celebrations extend beyond the lantern trail. A nightly marketplace at Supertree Grove will offer food, drinks, carnival games and family-friendly rides from 6pm to 10pm. Charges apply for purchases and carnival attractions.
Families can also make festive keepsakes at the Craft Corner on selected dates. While some activities require payment, attraction ticket holders can enjoy a one-for-one promotion, subject to the organiser’s conditions.
The festival opens with an illuminated LED Lion Dance on 12 September at 8.30pm. On the final day, visitors can catch the Singapore Big Flag Championship followed by a Dragon Dance at Supertree Grove Lawn.

Our Take
This is one of Singapore’s strongest Mid-Autumn Festival experiences for families and photographers. The combination of large-scale lantern installations, waterfront scenery and the illuminated Supertrees should make the Gardens especially atmospheric after sunset.
Admission to the main festival is free, so visitors can enjoy the lantern trail without buying a ticket. However, food, carnival attractions, selected craft activities and admission to attractions such as Flower Dome are separately chargeable.
EP Tip: Arrive before sunset to explore the Gardens in daylight, then begin the lantern trail once the installations light up. Use public transport because parking spaces may be limited during popular evenings.
