Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital will hold its Mid-Autumn Festival 2026, themed Hearts Aglow Together, on Saturday, 19 September.
The free community celebration will bring seniors, families, volunteers, donors and members of the public together for an evening of lights, cultural heritage and multigenerational bonding.
Its centrepiece will be an attempt to enter the Singapore Book of Records with the largest display of Kong Ming lanterns. Visitors can also experience festive installations, cultural activities and performances for different generations.
Admission is free, making this an accessible Mid-Autumn celebration for families and residents around Serangoon Road.

See a Record-Breaking Kong Ming Lantern Display
The evening’s defining attraction will be a large-scale display of Kong Ming lanterns created for a community record attempt with the Singapore Book of Records.
Traditionally associated with hope, blessings and good fortune, the glowing lanterns will collectively represent the spirit of care shared by the Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital community.
The illuminated display should provide visitors with one of the more distinctive Mid-Autumn sights taking place in Singapore this year.
