Walk through six glowing Mid-Autumn worlds as Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and their friends transform VivoCity’s rooftop into a moonlit Sanrio garden.

Sanrio Characters Moonlit Garden takes over the VivoCity Sky Park from 25 August to 27 September 2026 as part of the mall’s twentieth-anniversary celebrations.

The experience brings Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, Hangyodon and Pompompurin into a landscape filled with glowing lanterns, mooncakes, water gardens and oversized character installations.

Visitors can explore six connected themed environments and take photographs throughout the day. The garden becomes particularly atmospheric from 6pm to 10pm when its lanterns, fairy lights and illuminated installations glow against the evening sky.

Admission to the principal installations is free. Selected carnival games, rides, retail products and activities are separately chargeable, while character meet-and-greets and certain rewards carry minimum-spending requirements.

Highlights of Sanrio Characters Moonlit Garden

Enter through the Moonlit Garden Gateway: Begin beneath a glowing harvest moon surrounded by lanterns, Mid-Autumn decorations and popular Sanrio characters.

Explore Cinnamoroll’s garden: Walk among hanging lanterns, floral arches and fairy lights beneath an oversized Cinnamoroll installation.

Cross Hello Kitty’s lantern walk: Stroll across an illuminated bridge decorated with lanterns and fairy lights while Hello Kitty and My Melody welcome visitors from either end.

Visit Hangyodon’s water garden: Take photographs among floating lights, water lilies and a towering Hangyodon overlooking the reflective garden.

Join Pompompurin’s mooncake party: Encounter a seven-metre-tall Pompompurin seated on an oversized mooncake beside playful teacup photo spots.

Play at Kuromi Carnival Kingdom: Try Sanrio-themed carnival games, ride the Mini Express Train or visit the photo booth and capsule machines. Charges apply to these attractions.

Our Take

Sanrio Characters Moonlit Garden is one of Singapore’s most visually distinctive family-friendly Mid-Autumn experiences this year. Its recognisable characters give younger visitors an immediate reason to engage with the setting, while the rooftop location provides an enjoyable evening walk for families, friends and couples.

The experience also offers more than a collection of unrelated photo spots. Its six environments create a journey through lantern walks, garden displays, water features and familiar Mid-Autumn symbols reinterpreted through different Sanrio characters.

The principal installations are free, making it possible to enjoy the event without participating in the chargeable carnival or shopping redemptions. Arrive shortly before sunset to see the garden in daylight before experiencing its full evening transformation.
